AN EASY METHOD FOR POLISHING SILVER

My sister, Barb, had beautiful flatware with that complicated and intricate Stieff pattern called Rose. It was heavily embossed and understandably hard to polish. One day, at a family dinner - we had dinners in the middle of the day; the meal at the end of the day was called supper - I complimented her on the way her silver looked, bright and clean. She smiled and gave me her secret, which I'm happy to share.

Line the sink with aluminum foil, bright side up. Fill the sink with water and add 1 cup of Tide. Soak silver 15-20 minutes. Rinse in a combination of water and vinegar (which we also used to wash windows). Then polish silver lightly. This really works. Try it.
